You asked your readers to share an experience of feeling alone or abandonded by a "friend"

As an ordained minister...but in an abusive marrriage, I knew to go to my senior pastor. Although we lived outside the USA for decades, we were home on furloughs throughout this time.

My senior "pastor" was already aware of the abuse...but I didn't know he knew....until I went to him for help.

In short, I was told it was my fault. MY husband is the head of the house, I need to fit myself into my husbands plans, I needed to fast more, pray more...and 101 other things.

By the time we moved back to the USA permanently, my husband had fractured my eye-socket and broekn my jaw by hitting me with a hammer.

I wrote of this experience on my blog. The title of this post is...Heartache At The Hands of The "Church". If you read this, it could explain far more than I could in this small comment section.

I will say that it was the sheriff's department that intervened...and since I got a divorce...my "pastor" pulled my credentials.

Kindest Regards,

Michelle

http://michelle2005.wordpress.comAnn H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14603788864428505022noreply@blogger.com
